Cocoa arrivals at ports in Ivory Coast have fallen behind last season’s levels in the early part of the 2025/26 campaign, according to exporter estimates.

Since the start of the season on October 1, total arrivals at Ivorian ports reached approximately 1.125 million metric tons by January 11, representing a 2.8% decline compared with the same period last year.

During the week of January 5–11, around 24,000 tons of cocoa beans were delivered to the port of Abidjan, while approximately 30,000 tons arrived at San Pedro, bringing weekly arrivals to about 54,000 tons. This compares with roughly 48,000 tons delivered during the equivalent week a year earlier.

Ivory Coast is the world’s largest cocoa producer, and port arrival data is closely monitored by the market as a key indicator of supply conditions and export flows.
