Ivory Coast Cocoa Grind Falls 6.7% YoY in November — Exporters
Ivory Coast’s cocoa processing volumes declined 6.7% year-on-year in November, reaching 56,696 metric tons of beans, according to exporter-reported data shared with Reuters via the GEPEX industry group on Friday.
Reuters reported:
“The total grind of beans rose from the 2025/25 season in October to 100,711 tons by the end of November, down 15% from the same period last season.”
The GEPEX consortium represents six of the country’s largest cocoa grinders, including major multinational processors. Combined annual grinding capacity among GEPEX members stands at 750,000 tons, underscoring the group’s influence over national processing trends.
As the world’s top cocoa producer, Ivory Coast plays a central role in global supply and pricing dynamics. Its domestic grinding sector is dominated by European-linked operators, with companies tied to the Netherlands holding leading market share in local processing throughput.
