Ivory Coast’s cocoa grindings increased to 67,787 metric tons
Ivory Coast’s cocoa processing activity increased in December, with bean grindings rising 3.6% year on year to 64,787 metric tons, according to data released by the exporters’ association GEPEx.
Despite the stronger December performance, cumulative grindings since the start of the 2025/26 season in October reached 165,558 tons by the end of the month, representing a 9.2% decline compared with the same period last season.
GEPEx data covers six of the country’s largest cocoa processors, including major international firms. Ivory Coast remains the world’s leading cocoa producer and continues to compete closely with the Netherlands for the top position in global cocoa grinding capacity.
