Asia’s Cocoa Grindings Surge 25% in Q2, Signalling Strong Recovery in Regional Demand

The Cocoa Association of Asia (CAA) has reported a strong recovery in regional cocoa processing, with second-quarter 2026 grindings reaching 224,646 metric tons, representing a 25.07% increase compared with Q2 2025. The figure also marks a 0.51% increase from the first quarter of 2026, highlighting continued momentum despite historically elevated cocoa prices.

The latest data brings first-half (H1) 2026 grindings to 448,149 metric tons, compared with 392,077 metric tons during the same period last year—an increase of approximately 14.3% year-on-year.
