Cocoa Ends Higher but Rally Fades Despite Positive Grindings Data (15 October 2026)
Cocoa futures finished higher on Thursday, 15 October, but both markets surrendered much of their intraday strength. New York December traded between $5,749 and $5,993 before ending at a last-traded price of $5,771/t, up $43 (+0.75%), just $22 above its session low. London December reached £4,483/t during the morning before a sustained retreat carried prices to £4,305. A late recovery left the contract at £4,353/t, up £26 (+0.60%). Both markets remained below Wednesday’s highs and finished beneath their opening levels, leaving the recovery vulnerable despite the positive daily closes.
