Cocoa Rebounds on Lighter Volume as Ivorian Crop Concerns Persist (19 October 2026)
Cocoa recovered on Monday, 19 October, after both nearby contracts traded below Friday’s lows. New York December settled at $5,687/t, up $42 (+0.74%), after trading between $5,590 and $5,718. Five-minute trading showed repeated pressure around $5,600 giving way to a later advance above $5,700, followed by consolidation near that level and a last trade of $5,695. London December gained £32 (+0.76%) to £4,253/t within a £4,183–£4,268 range. Both markets finished towards the upper end of their daily ranges, while December strengthened against the principal deferred contracts. Lighter turnover nevertheless left the rebound with limited participation support.
