Raw Sugar Falls Nearly 4 Percent as Selling Accelerates (3 November 2026)
Sugar’s sell-off accelerated on Tuesday. March raws fell 3.83% to 18.33 cents/lb after touching a one-month low of 18.31. December whites declined 1.81% to $500.20/tonne, recovering from an intraday low of $496.50.
New York’s finish was particularly weak: March settled just 0.02 cent above its low after breaking the 26 October bottom at 18.85. London showed more resilience by settlement, recovering $3.70 from its low and retaining the $500 level. However, December’s entire $496.50–506.00 range remained below Monday’s $508.50 low, leaving an unfilled gap at $506.00–508.50.

May raws lost 0.75 cent to 17.80 cents and July fell 0.71 cent to 17.48. March whites declined $12.20 to $513.90/tonne and May dropped $14.00 to $518.40. All published maturities settled lower in both markets, with raw losses concentrated toward the nearer deliveries.
