Arabica Falls Below 300 as Robusta Recovers (27 October 2026)
Arabica’s early recovery faded on Tuesday, leaving December below 300 cents per pound for its fourth consecutive losing session. The contract settled at 293.75 cents, down 2.39%, as selling concentrated in nearby delivery and sharply reduced its premium over March.
London moved in the opposite direction. January Robusta gained 0.59% to $3,220 per tonne, although buyers surrendered much of the advance from the session low.
The divergence came as the Brazilian real recovered part of Monday’s losses. Currency support was insufficient to halt New York’s decline, while low certified Arabica inventories and repeated grading failures continued to complicate expectations of a rapid replenishment.
